A pair of Summer Tanagers talk to each other across the Agua Fria River of Central Arizona. He's chattering, she's interjecting a sole note from time to time.
The rocky canyons and Cottonwood groves around Yavapai County, Arizona, play (appropriately enough) Summer host to the Summer Tanager (Piranga rubra). He is a beautiful red bird without a crest, she is yellowish, and resembles a female oriole. This is their call.
