So I got a call from a friend that there was an injured baby owl at the theatre, and they wanted to know what kind and what to do,so I told them to put it in a box(to keep it dark and calm so as not to stress the bird) and I will be there in a few. It turns out it was a Common Poorwill, not an owl,and its an adult. It must have flown into a window and was stunned, but I could see no broken wings or any injuries. I took it home for the night, knowing all the rehabers were closed, and was going to take it in the morning, but was awakened at 7:00am by a thud, which was the bird trying to get out. So I took it to the park, opened the lid,and the bird flew away, seeming just fine. Stupid windows.
