Description:
These odd looking creatures were on the side of the algae covered bank off Far Beach in Largo Sound. They are about the size of footballs. I originally thought they may be Tunicates, but I'm no expert. Thanks to some assistance, I've tenatively identified them as Spotted Sea Hares. Any help in confirming an ID would certainly be appreciated. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State ParkKey Largo, FloridaSeaLife DC1400
