Description:

The cells of Hydrodictyon have multiple nuclei with large central nucleoli. In the picture are two of them visible in the cell center and at the right end of the cell. The larger, dark-green body in the left half cell is a pyrenoid. Scale bar indicates 25 m.Sample from the Lake Constance (vicinity of Bodman). The image was built up using several photomicrographic frames with manual stacking technique.
