Treehoppers of the species Bocydium globulare (Membracidae) on a Melastomataceae, Braulio Carrillo National Park, Costa Rica

[taxonomy:binomial=Bocydium globulare] [taxonomy:family=Membracidae] I had some technical problems this day, so the substrate-borne vibrations cannot be heard well in this video. But it is still cool to watch this species, one of the treehoppers with the coolest pronotums. Here you can see three adults in the wild, one of them signaling when it vibrates its abdomen.
