Lasioglossum sopinci, F, face, redform, NC, Moore co_2013-09-20-17.46.42 ZS PMax
Description:
Lasioglossum sopinci lives in sand deserts in Eastern North America. It comes in two forms one of which is all black and this form, one with a reddened abdomen, some experimentation with a new styrofoam cooler bounce chamber for the flash, not too bad, particularly well let from the front...am going to blacken the back of the box more with felt to see if some of back-lighting can be reduced which spins a halo that has to be PS'ed out. Collecetd by Heather Campbell at the Walthour-Moss Foundation land in Southern Pines, NC
