Miyabe ex Shirai Image location: Fauquier Co., Virginia, USA Round growths on pine tree a little larger than a golf ball. 4/22/17 photos – After a day of rain, the tree look like it’s growing oranges, from a distance. 4/26/17 photos – After two more days of heavy rain. It’s firm when touched. The larger galls are the size of a tennis ball.
