Description: After a busy week of working I needed to get out and enjoy some fresh air. I decided to visit Brownsea Island on one of the weekend openings. It was a freezing cold day and the Brownsea lagoon was almost deserted - the reason being there was a low tide in the harbour and everything had flown off to feed in the main harbour leaving the lagoon empty. The squirrels were also playing hard to get. I still managed to have a good long walk followed by a hot pastie & coffee in the NT cafe. This shag was posing beautifully by the ferry point just outside Brownsea Castle. Taken with the A57, Sony 500 mirror lens and the 1.4 x digital zoom !. Date: 23 February 2013, 13:27.
