Blue jellyfish in Brofjorden at Sandvik 37
Description:
Description: English: Bluefire jellyfish (Cyanea lamarckii) in Brofjorden at Sandvik, Lysekil Municipality, Sweden. The jellies at this photo shoot were about 6-12 cm in diameter. The blue jellies are streamlined when contracted, and that makes them more agile, quicker and faster swimmers than Cyanea capillata and Aurelia aurita. At the top of the photo is a strand of sea lace algae (Chorda filum). Date: 24 June 2021, 19:08:21. Source: Own work. Author: W.carter.
