Description: Fy: Pontederiaceae Distribution: Common on margins of stagnant waterbodies.Found in India, Nepal, China, Japan and Malaysia. Rooted aquatic herbs, 20-30 cm tall. Leaves 3-8x1.5-4cm ovate, lanceolate, obtuse or acute,base cordate, petioles 10-20 cm long sheathing at base, Flowers 1.5-2.5cm across, blue on terminal racemes iserted at the hallow sheath of petiole.
