Description: Trumpeter swans wintering on Seedskadee NWR have been increasing over the last decade. A high count of 304 in 2014. Open water below Fontenelle Dam, abundant submerged aquatic vegetation in the Green River, and reduced disturbance in the winter months provide the conditions needed for trumpeters in the winter months.
