Cormorant at Beria lake (7568315604)
Description:
Description: Since this particular bird did not seem to mind my getting closer, I stole this shot of him. The other one was feeling a little uncomfortable. One step closer and both of them flew off. That might also have been due to my guide's constant jabbering, despite my telling him several times to keep quiet until I've finished with them. Cormorants do not have waterproof feathers, so after a fishing session, they need to dry out their feathers. (Colombo, Sri Lanka, June 2011). Date: 1 June 2011, 00:00.
