Fish Surgery (12905968705)
Description:
Description: Last summer, we released pallid sturgeon implanted with sonic radio transmitters into the Missouri River. This was done as part of a catchability research project. The radio transmitters allowed biologists to locate the fish and attempt to recatch them, therefore helping evaluate the effectiveness of their sampling gear. Here is one of the sturgeon receiving surgery before leaving the hatchery. Photo Credit: Spencer Neuharth / USFWS. Date: 3 March 2014, 07:08. Source: Fish Surgery. Author: USFWS Mountain-Prairie.
