Description:
This rare orchid groes in a few localilities in the Upper Galilee and the north Golan Heights, northwards to S Turkey. It blooms after all other flowers dry, its own leaves are also dry already. Its always a great excitement to see it again. Recently the populations in Israel were described as H. galilaeum, but considering the variability in the field we feel it is a variety of subspecies.
