Sternbergia lutea (Winter Daffodil) is a species of perennial herb in the family Amaryllidaceae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They have loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Delia hirticrura, Syritta pipiens, brown argus, and drone fly.
