Atlantic Camas

Camassia scilloides (Raf.) Cory

Camassia scilloides (Atlantic Camas) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asparagaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as threatened by COSEWIC. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves, blue flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by (page not found), Camponotus subbarbatus, Brown-belted Bumblebee, and Pseudothyris sepulchralis. Individuals can grow to 2.5 feet.
