Galanthus nivalis (Bucaneve) is a species of perennial herb in the family Amaryllidaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Melangyna quadrimaculata, Marmalade hoverfly, drone fly, and Common Eastern Bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 0.14 m.
