Sporobolus virginicus (Seashore Dropseed) is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Hawaii, Piauí, Rio De Janeiro, Bahia, Alagoas, Maranhao, Rio Grande Do Norte, Paraná, Puerto Rico, Pernambuco, Pará, Florida, Espirito Santo, Atlantic And Gulf Coastal Plain (Agcp), Amazônia, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, Rio Grande Do Sul, Santa Catarina, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Pampa, ParaíBa, U.S. Virgin Islands, Caatinga, Mata Atlântica, Eastern North America, and Middle America. They have simple, broad leaves and brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
