Dioscorea oppositifolia (Chinese Yam) is a species of perennial herb in the family Dioscoreaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Sri Lanka, China, and India. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
