Carex brunnescens (Brownish Sedge) is a species of perennial herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Greenland, The Contiguous United States, and Alaska. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.25 m.
