Sideroxylon obtusifolium is a species of tree in the family Sapotaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Piauí, Mata Atlântica, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Caatinga, Alagoas, Sergipe, Distrito Federal, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Espirito Santo, Cerrado, ParaíBa, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Santa Catarina, Tocantins, Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Ceará, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Paraná, and Maranhao. They have simple, broad leaves.
