Xyris (Yelloweyed Grass) is a genus of herb in the family Xyridaceae. They are native to Eastern North America, Puerto Rico, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. Flowers are visited by Southern Carpenter Bee, Flower Flies, Paratetrapedia, and Augochloropsis. Individuals can grow to 1.4 m.
