Ceanothus (Ceanothus) is a genus of shrub in the family Rhamnaceae. They are native to The Americas, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by root-maggot flies, Eupeodes volucris, Honey bee, and Monarch. Individuals can grow to 3.5 m.
