Physcidia is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Ramalinaceae.^[2] The genus was circumscribed in 1862 by American lichenologist Edward Tuckerman.^[3]

The taxon once known as Physcidia cylindrophora (Taylor) Hue (1908) is now Bacidia cylindrophora.^[7]
