Cornus controversa (Giant Dogwood) is a species of tree in the family dogwoods. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and drupes. Flowers are visited by Lasioglossum transpositum, Eristalis cerealis, Oncomerella venosa, and Menida scotti. Individuals can grow to 22.4 m.
