Onithochiton literatus (Black Chiton) is a species of molluscs in the family Chitonidae. They are native to Mauritius, Mozambican Exclusive Economic Zone, Somali Exclusive Economic Zone, and Kenyan Exclusive Economic Zone. Dead Black Chiton form shallow marine sediments. Individuals can grow to 27.7 mm. They have sexual reproduction.
