Axis porcinus (Hog Deer) is a species of mammals in the family Cervidae. They are listed as endangered by IUCN and in cites appendix iii. They are native to Asia and the Palearctic. They are solitary, nocturnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 240 months. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on running to move around.
