Phyllostomus hastatus (Greater Spear Nosed Bat) is a species of bats in the family New World leaf-nosed bats. They are native to The Neotropics. They visit flowers of Pseudobombax grandiflorum and stinkingtoe. They are nocturnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 120 months and can grow to 107 mm. They rely on flight to move around.
