Macaca mulatta (Rhesus Monkey) is a species of primates in the family Old World monkeys. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to Thailand, Afghanistan, Vietnam, the Palearctic, Myanmar, Pakistan, Laos, India, Hong Kong, Bhutan, Macau, Nepal, Asia, and China. They are diurnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 432 months and can grow to 820 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care).
