Alcorn's pocket gopher (Pappogeomys bulleri alcorni) is a subspecies of the Buller's pocket gopher that is endemic to montane pine-oak forest (910-3,010 m) in the Sierra del Tigre of south Jalisco, Mexico.
Previously thought to be its own species (as Pappogeomys alcorni), it has instead been assigned to subspecies level.[2]
It is reputed to damage corn and bean fields and has been persecuted by farmers as a pest. The subspecies is considered to be critically endangered.[1][3]
