Virola sebifera (Virola) is a species of tree in the family Myristicaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Distrito Federal, RondôNia, Cerrado, Pará, Roraima, Tocantins, Mata Atlântica, Rio De Janeiro, South America, Minas Gerais, Maranhao, AmazôNia, Mato Grosso, Amapá, Mato Grosso Do Sul, GoiáS, Acre (Brazil), Bahia, and SãO Paulo. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 32.2 m.
