Caryocar brasiliense (Pequi) is a species of tree in the family Ajo. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Cerrado, SãO Paulo, Tocantins, Amazônia, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Paraná, The Neotropics, Caatinga, Mata Atlântica, Bahia, GoiáS, and Pará. They have simple, broad leaves and drupes. Individuals can grow to 3.8 m.
