They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. They have achene. Flowers are visited by drone fly, Black Tail Bumble Bee, Cryptic Bumble Bee, and Tharsalea arota. Individuals can grow to 7.2 m.
