A nest in cane cholla; two adult wrens were hanging around within about 30 yards but I couldn't tell if this was an active nest or not.

This was the first official day of the Big Bend Nature Fest, and Elizabeth and I explored a bit of the park before the festivities began! :) This place is really incredible.

Second day of the Big Bend Nature Fest -- Elizabeth and I went to excellent lectures by Greg Lasley, Chuck Sexton and others. Learned a ton. Before the ice cream social, we walked around a nearby trail to the lodge. :) I'll have to work on the ID's for many of these later on. LOTS of new plants and critters for me in Big Bend! :)
