Haliaeetus albicilla (White Tailed Eagle) is a species of birds in the family Accipitridae. They are listed in cites appendix i. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are found in the palearctic and the indo-malayan realm. They are diurnal. Individuals can grow to 240 cm. They have parental care (occasionally breeds cooperatively). They rely on flight to move around.

Definition: Appendix I lists species that are the most endangered among CITES-listed animals and plants. They are threatened with extinction and CITES prohibits international trade in specimens of these species except when the purpose of the import is not commercial, for instance for scientific research.
