Calliphlox amethystina (Amethyst Woodstar) is a species of birds in the family hummingbirds. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are found in The Neotropics. They visit flowers of Hohenbergia ridleyi, Cnidoscolus halteris, Vochysia, and Tacinga palmadora. They rely on flight to move around.

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled.
