Philine aperta (Sand Slug) is a species of snails in the family Philinidae. They are native to Indian Ocean, Mozambican Exclusive Economic Zone, and South African Exclusive Economic Zone. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 7 cm. They have sexual reproduction. They are burrowers.
