Mactra lilacea is a species of mussels in the family Mactridae. They are native to Natal, Sri Lankan Exclusive Economic Zone, Red Sea, and Tanzania. Dead Mactra lilacea form shallow marine sediments. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 41 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are facultatively mobile animals.
