A small, very slim shark with a long, narrow snout, big eyes with rear notches, short labial furrows, and small, oblique-cusped teeth with smooth edges; 2nd dorsal fin small, low and behind larger anal fin; interdorsal ridge rudimentary or absent (Ref. 5578). Grey above, pale below, fins with pale edges (transparent in life), caudal and first dorsal fins with narrow dark margin, first dorsal fin also with a dusky tip (Ref. 9997).

Viviparous (Ref. 50449); gives birth annually to litters of 2-4 pups (Ref.58048). Caught in artisanal and small scale commercial fisheries (Ref. 9997). Utilized fresh for human consumption (Ref. 244); meat and fins, but of limited value due to its small size (Ref.58048).

體形頗修長。頭相當窄且稍縱扁。尾基上下方各具一凹窪。吻狹長。眼大,圓形,眼眶後緣具「V」字形缺刻,瞬膜發達。前鼻瓣短而呈窄三角形;無口鼻溝或觸鬚。唇溝很不發達,通常僅侷限於口角部位。口裂寬,弧形,口閉時不露齒;上下頜齒同型,前側齒修長,齒尖外斜,邊緣光滑,無小齒尖。噴水孔缺如。背鰭2個,背鰭間無隆脊,尾柄無側隆背;第一背鰭寬大,起點在胸鰭後角之後,後緣凹入,上角鈍圓,下角尖突;第二背鰭小,起點在臀鰭起點之後,後緣入凹,後角尖突;胸鰭中大型,稍呈鐮刀形,後緣凹入,外角鈍尖,內角鈍圓,鰭端伸達不及第一背鰭基底;尾鰭寬長,尾椎軸上揚,下葉前部顯著三角形突出,中部低平延長,與後部間有一深缺刻,後部小三角形突出,尾端尖突。體背側灰褐色;腹側白色;體無任何色斑。
