Sphyrna lewini (Scalloped Hammerhead) is a species of modern sharks in the family hammerhead sharks. They are listed as critically endangered by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. They are native to Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Pacific Ocean. They are solitary, crepuscular carnivores. Individuals can grow to 430 cm. Reproduction is viviparous and iteroparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on swimming and carcharhiniform to move around.
