Melochia tomentosa (Teabush) is a species of shrub in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Ceará, The Contiguous United States, Cerrado, Alagoas, Caatinga, Piauí, Pernambuco, Puerto Rico, Bahia, ParaíBa, Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mato Grosso, and U.S. Virgin Islands. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by White Angled-Sulphur, Honey bee, Melissodes bimaculatus, and Oil-collecting bee.
