Melochia tomentosa (Teabush) is a species of shrub in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Alagoas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, The Contiguous United States, Caatinga, Ceará, ParaíBa, Piauí, Bahia, Pernambuco, and Puerto Rico. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Southern Carpenter Bee, Stripe-breasted Starthroat, Ruby Topaz, and Swallow-tailed Hummingbird.
