Pavonia cancellata is a species of perennial herb in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Amazônia, Alagoas, Espirito Santo, Pará, Ceará, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Caatinga, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Maranhao, Bahia, Mato Grosso, Sergipe, Rio De Janeiro, Distrito Federal, Piauí, ParaíBa, and Minas Gerais. They have simple, broad leaves.
