They are native to Rio De Janeiro, Piauí, Santa Catarina, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, SãO Paulo, Minas Gerais, Alagoas, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pampa, Mato Grosso, Acre (Brazil), Roraima, RondôNia, ParaíBa, Puerto Rico, Pará, Ceará, Maranhao, Pernambuco, Cerrado, Paraná, North America, Espirito Santo, Bahia, Amapá, Pantanal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Norte, Tocantins, Caatinga, GoiáS, Distrito Federal, and Sergipe. They have berries.
