Heracleum sphondylium montanum (American Cow Parsnip) is a subspecies of perennial herb in the family umbellifers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Alaska, Canada, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, United States, Western North America, The Contiguous United States, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Sarcophaga utilis, Symmorphus, Heminomada, and Ferdinandea buccata. Individuals can grow to 3 m.
