They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and The Neotropics. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Bombus impatiens, Chauliognathus pensylvanicus, Euschistus, and Bombus ternarius. Individuals can grow to 4.9 feet.
