Polystichum munitum (Western Swordfern) is a species of perennial herb in the family wood ferns. They are native to Alaska, Canada, Western North America, The Contiguous United States, and United States. They have brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 3.5 feet. They have alternation of generations.
