They are native to Pernambuco, Bahia, Pará, Sergipe, Alagoas, Rio Grande Do Sul, Amazônia, Ceará, Espirito Santo, Puerto Rico, ParaíBa, Paraná, SãO Paulo, Amapá, Rio Grande Do Norte, Brazil, Mata Atlântica, Santa Catarina, Maranhao, The Contiguous United States, Rio De Janeiro, Eastern North America, and U.S. Virgin Islands. They have achenes.
