Liatris squarrulosa (Appalachian Blazing Star) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and North America. They have simple, broad leaves, purple flowers, and achenes. Individuals can grow to 2.5 feet.
