Cyperus flavescens (Yellow Flat Sedge) is a species of annual herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pampa, Amazônia, Roraima, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, Canada, ParaíBa, Caatinga, Bahia, SãO Paulo, The Contiguous United States, Piauí, GoiáS, Minas Gerais, Alagoas, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, Espirito Santo, Puerto Rico, Rio Grande Do Norte, Tocantins, Sergipe, Mato Grosso, Ceará, and Paraná. They have simple, broad leaves and red flowers. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
