Bunchosia guatemalensis Niedzu. Gen. Bunch. 5. 1898 Leaf-blades oblong to oval, 6-20 cm. long, sparingly pubescent at least when young, bright-green and slightly shining above, paler and dull beneath, often slightly acuminate but blunt at the apex, rounded or subcordate at the base, short-petioled ; pedicels finely pubescent, at least during anthesis ; sepals ovate-oblong, 4-6 mm. long, the glands fully one half the length of the sepal-body ; larger petals 6-8 mm. long ; ovary and style pubescent ; drupes 12-16 mm. in diameter, brown.
Type locality : Escuintla, Guatemala. Distribution : Guatemala.
